ESR's Quality Policy

ESR is committed to continual improvement and excellence in the science, consulting, calibration and testing carried out for internal and external customers. Our aim is to perform this work to a quality that meets or exceeds customers’ requirements.

ESR is committed to continual improvement and excellence in the science, consulting, calibration and testing carried out for internal and external customers. Our aim is to perform this work to a quality that meets or exceeds customers’ requirements. The work carried out will comply with all relevant Standards and Codes of Practice. Outputs for customers must be technically correct, relevant to identified needs and in a form able to be understood.

Staff members are expected to:

  1. Be familiar with and comply with the requirements of all Standards and Codes of Practice that apply to their work
  2. Be familiar with and comply with all ESR policies, procedures and processes that apply to their job
  3. Understand and follow quality requirements in respect of all work carried out
  4. Understand customer needs and requirements in respect to all work undertaken
  5. Identify and acquire training in skills necessary for their job
  6. Take an active role in identifying and proposing quality improvements that will be of benefit to ESR’s customers and/or ESR’s operations.

Managers and organisational leaders are expected to:

  1. Be familiar with and comply with the requirements of all Standards and Codes of Practice that apply to their work
  2. Ensure that ESR’s management system is developed and operated in a manner that supports ESR’s commitment to excellence in science, consulting, calibration and testing
  3. Ensure staff are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the quality management system
  4. Contribute to the identification and implementation of quality initiatives to improve testing, research and consulting provided to customers
  5. Demonstrate commitment to the development, implementation and improvement of the quality management system. This commitment would generally involve participation in and provision of resources needed to meet the aims of the quality management system
  6. Permit and encourage participation by staff in quality training and quality improvement initiatives.

Total commitment to quality is paramount to the success of ESR’s operations. All personnel are expected to accept responsibility for quality.
