Methamphetamine contamination - testing of products and screening technologies

The use and illicit manufacture of methamphetamine has a major impact on people and communities in New Zealand. Negative outcomes of the use and manufacture of methamphetamine include the resulting contamination of properties and third-hand exposure to occupants. Property owners then need to spend significant amounts of money to test and decontaminate or rebuild properties.

At ESR, we can independently test products and devices that are used in the methamphetamine testing and decontamination industry using New Zealand Standard 8510:2017 as a guide for assessment and validation, if appropriate (Appendix B, https://www.standards.govt.nz/assets/Publication-files/NZS8510-2017.pdf(external link)).

Below are report(s) on the screening technologies and products assessed by ESR. Please note that this is not an endorsement or official validation of the technology or product.
